Sr. Product Designer

Clinical trial technology shouldn’t be challenging to use, That’s why I design to help with the user flow and make the most complicated data capture look and feel simple and easy to use.

Started my journey at Medrio as the solo and only designer, working with our great team of Product Managers and Product Analysis.
Together with my manager, we built a team of designers and I was honored to create our design kit with all of our current components to keep the consistency among our team. I took ownership to document Medrio design patterns and promote design thinking across the company.
Other than creating high-quality user flows and mock-ups i had few areas of ownership;

Design System

I believe powerful design system, create consistency and efficiency. Therefore, helping to make collaboration easier and get everyone on the same page is my goal.

I developed a comprehensive design system for Medrio, which improved the consistency and usability of our products. By creating and maintaining a system of reusable components (Teamwork) and patterns, I was able to reduce development time and improve the overall user experience. My work has helped our company create a more cohesive and effective user experience, leading to improved customer satisfaction.

As an Example, the image is the Patterns page of all the components being used in the app.
Each consists of;

  • Description

  • When to use

  • How to use

  • The hierarchy

  • Examples; Do & Don’t

Created a system of predefined elements such as buttons, forms, and navigation elements that can be easily accessed and implemented by developers. it helped define the guidelines and rules for how to use these components, ensuring that products are consistent and meet the company's standards. A high-quality user experience that is consistent across all products.

Component Library “Design Kit”

Each component Consists of;

  • Enable

  • Disable

  • Selected

  • Active

  • Inactive

  • All variety of states of a component that each uniquely can hold during users interaction

Medrio personas

The Medrio personas I created were designed to help the company better understand and connect with their users. I conducted extensive research and interviews to ensure that the personas were as accurate and detailed as possible. The personas were well-received by the company and have been used to inform design and development decisions.

The Medrio personas consist of the following sections:

  • Goal: A statement that describes the persona's overall objective.

  • Daily Challenges: A list of common challenges that the persona faces on a day-to-day basis.

  • Daily Activities: This is personas activity during the day

  • Workflow: A step-by-step description of the persona's typical workflow.

  • Before a Study Begins: A description of the persona's actions and thoughts before a study begins.

  • During the Study: A description of the persona's actions and thoughts during the study.

  • Study close out: A description of the persona's actions and thoughts closing a study.

  • Requirements and Skills for this Role

Created the guidelines and foundations for accessibility in our design style guide, which laid the groundwork for making our app accessible. I have been working in a team of four designers to implement these guidelines and make our app compliant with the WCAG 2.0 standards. I believe that accessibility is a crucial part of good design, and I am committed to making our products accessible to all users.

Accessibility

introduction of Sketch and Figma to the company's design process led to a significant increase in efficiency and productivity. By implementing these tools, we were able to streamline the design process, making it faster and easier to create and share designs. This innovation has had a positive impact on the company's overall design output and has helped to improve the quality of the products it produces.
